Fort Jefferson Pelican

A friend of mine told me she would really like a photo of a pelican looking straight down into the camera. On a recent trip to Fort Jefferson in the Dry Tortugas National Park, as I was walking along the beach I glanced over and saw this pelican resting on the beach. I said to myself, “that is exactly the pose that she wants.“

She told me she plans to hang it above her guest room toilet.
